Install and Utilization of Air Filters in Chicken Coops

The air filtering system is installed and used in chicken coops with special materials, advanced manufacturing technology, and scientific testing facilities, which can effectively eliminate or reduce infectious diseases in large and medium-sized chicken farms.

The air filtering device is installed at the air inlet of the chicken coop. Generally, it is equipped with three layers of filtration: the first layer of air filtering material is a low resistance primary efficiency large dust air filter material. It filters PM2.5~PM10 particles, with an efficiency of ≥90%. The second layer is to protect the first layer of material and intercepts the leakage of PM2.5~PM10 particles. The third layer uses international advanced high-efficiency anti-bacterial and anti-viral low wind resistance air filter material. On the surface of the air filter layer fiber, the anti-bacterial coating is prepared, which can quickly kill 650 kinds of bacteria and molds in 30 minutes. It basically intercepts or kills the particles with viruses carried from outside the chicken coop greatly reducing the virus content in the air of the breeding farm.

After the air filter system is installed, the number of air particles before and after the filter system is collected (using a particle laser counter). The average measurement value shows that the filtration efficiency of 0.3um is up to 98%. The virus interception rate is 95%, and the bacterial virus filtration and the killing rate are up to the LoG6/MERv16 standard, which can intercept viruses and Salmonella carried by air droplets, and meet the requirement of 0.08in water column and 20Pa ventilation.

High-pressure electrostatic filtration has the advantage of not needing to replace the filter, but this kind of filtration has the following disadvantages: one is that high-pressure electrostatic produces ozone. Studies show that humans and animals can get cancer from ozone, and it can also stimulate the respiratory tract. Secondly, the filtration level of this kind of air purifier is relatively low, which can only absorb particles with a diameter of 0.5 microns. But the filter membrane filter level can absorb 0.3 um particles. So the main air purifier is a membrane filter, which is widely used in breeding farms.
